Christian Story - Co-Ed Bible Class
This nine-week course is designed to provide people with a framework for understanding how all 66 books of the Bible fit together into one overarching narrative: the Christian Story. We will not attempt to read through the entire Bible in nine weeks but will direct you to texts which represent key moments in the story. As you become familiar with these landmarks in the overarching narrative, you will be able to understand how other sections of the Bible fit into the framework of the Christian Story.
Who's it for? Anyone who wants an overview of the Bible story and wants to understand how its books fit together.
Emotionally Healthy Spirituality
This course is a ten-session Bible study on the integration of emotional health and contemplative spirituality. Many sincere followers of Jesus Christ, who are considered to be "mature" Christians, passionate about knowing God and His Word, and actively involved in ministries within the church, are often stuck at a level of spiritual immaturity. This is especially true when faced with interpersonal conflicts and crises.
Who's it for? Anyone who wants to begin the journey of implementing biblical truth for emotional and spiritual health and wholeness.
Membership Class
As Westside Church, “We exist to know Jesus and to make Jesus known.” But what does that actually mean? Practically, what does that look like? As the first step toward becoming a member, this is what the Membership Class is designed to answer. Over two weeks, we’ll unpack our mission, vision, and values, and what it looks like to commit to pursuing that vision with us through covenant membership.
Who's it for? Anyone who wants to learn more about Westside! The Membership Class is also for those interested in becoming members, individuals wanting to be baptized, individuals who would like to serve in certain leadership roles, and parents wanting to dedicate their child.
Marriage Prep
It is our conviction that we need to help couples to prepare well for a life-long commitment to a godly and healthy marriage. The Marriage Prep Course provides couples with biblical and practical teaching on marriage, marriage mentorship, and time to go over your personal inventories.
Who's it for? Couples who are seriously dating or engaged and seeking biblical and practical teaching on a healthy, God-honouring marriage.
Parenting Foundations Class
God has given Christian parents the privilege and responsibility of raising their children to know and love Jesus Christ, but the church is here so that every follower has a community of believers around them for help and support.
Who's it for? All parents, new parents, parents-to-be, and those interested in dedicating their children at Westside.
Wednesday Morning Bible Class for Women
We are excited to welcome you to join us this Fall as we go through the Reader's Guide to the Bible, by George H. Guthrie.
The Bible contains one grand story of one global God who is saving His people through one glorious gospel. We need to know this story. We need to see, understand, and comprehend how all of the pages of Scripture come together in one overarching plot. Such knowledge, penetrating both our hearts and our minds, is essential for growing in Christlikeness.
Who's it for? All women who seek go deeper in their faith.
Men's Bible Study
We are calling our Westside Men to come and study Titus together. We meet on Thursday mornings to study the Word. Register here.
Who's it for? Westside men who want to go deeper in their faith.
